The Library

taking a book from a bookshelfThe NTC Library is an attractive place for research and study, with the main holdings located on the ground floor of the Emmanuel Centre.

The library collection includes a lending-library of some thirty thousand volumes. Periodicals, archival resources, and a substantial collection of historical documents from the Wesleyan tradition bring total holdings to over fifty thousand. Current acquisitions constantly keep the library abreast of new publications in theology and other areas. The College also subscribes to a wide range of electronic journals, which are available to students and staff through the NTC MOODLE virtual learning link

Located adjacent to the main Library, in Dene House, are the librarian's office, the Chapter and Verse Bookshop , the Manchester Wesley Research Centre, and a range of archival holdings.

The Library welcomes external members - members of the general public who wish to use the library's facilities. The library catalogue is available online.

The library's normal opening hours are 08:00 -21 :30 (Monday - Friday) and 09:00 - 17:00 (Saturday). During vacation period the weekday opening time is 08:30.
