Placements

college placementsThe College has extensive experience with placement-based courses, which integrate academic study with ongoing fieldwork.  Both the BA in Theology: Youth Work and Ministry and the BA in Practical Theology have fieldwork at the very heart of their delivery.

The NTC teaching week is designed to give students dedicated time at the end of each study week to work with their placement organisation: this may be in a church or para-church organisation; an organisation in the statutory sector; a community-based project; a chaplaincy setting; or any of the other range of placements which form part of NTC's network of partner organisations.

Some placements are in urban settings; others suburban; some in rural or coastal contexts. All are chosen to be within easy reach of the College, and must deliver the mentoring and support that developing professionals will need.

Some placement locations will provide accommodation as part of their commitment to their student: in other cases, students live in college accommodation and travel to their placement setting.

Organisations interested in hosting a placement student should contact the college for further information.
