NTC has been approved by the UK Border Agency as a 'Highly Trusted Sponsor' for Tier 4 international students.  'HTS' became a requirement for Colleges wishing to admit full-time international students this summer, and this approval from the UKBA is based on the College's consistent 'A' rating as a 'sponsor.'

The College has also been accepted by the QAA (Quality Assurance Agency) as an applicant for 'Educational Oversight' ... another requirement for non-Governmental Higher Educational institutions who wish to support international students.

Amidst this good news, however, is the fact that this summer's regulatory changes to student visa regulation means that full-time international students at private colleges will not be allowed to bring their dependants to the UK, or to work part-time. Students at public universities are unaffected. The College has joined with sister institutions to make representation to to the Government to address this situation, which is a particular problem for international postgraduate students. A meeting with the Minister for Immigration takes place next month.
